ITECH IT255A/M quick charger controller provides QC2.0, QC3.0, QC4.0, PE+, PE2.0+, USB PD2.0 and USB PD3.0/USB PPS 7 types of protocols for automatically or manually quick charger loading test.
It can simulate the fast charge control signal of smartphone, tablet and notebook, which is suitable for the test of smartphone/tablet charger, AC-DC adapter, mobile power bank, car charger and wall charger.
♦ Wall charger
IT-E255M is manual version with big LED screen, which can support IT8500+, IT8800, IT8700 electronic loads connection and simulate the loading of quick charger.
Both of them provide a Micro USB and a USB Type C hardware interface for DUT connection.
IT-E255A is automatic version with big LED screen, which can connect to IT8500+ electronic load via TTL interface. It can be controlled by PC software via USB interface and be offline controlled whenever needed.
IT-E255A controlled by PC software can fulfill all the functions of Quick charger controller and partial functions of e-load, including list, OCP/ OPP test and comparison.
Programs can be written into the Quick charger controller, thus the Quick charger controller can do mass production test without the PC.
1. Communication test: connect USB to PC and open the device manager. If it shows USB Test and Measurement Device(IVI), then it works. Or you can use USB Charger Software to check.
2. The software can be connected by RS232 or USB port.
3. Enter 'list mode' and carry out steps operation and comparison. The OCP and OPP test of chargers can be done step by step.
4. If operation offline, choose write and download the programme to the quick charger controller. Then the simple test can be done automatically by operation on the front panel.
Quick Charge 2.0 is the2.0 version of quick charging technology which was developed by Qualcomm. Whenthe mobile devices such as mobile phone, tablet and chargers are compliancewith QC2.0 protocol, the charger can receive the order of these mobile devices.The output power of charger can be increased and the quick charging to batterycan be carried out.
Quick Charge 3.0 ( QC3.0 ) is the next generation technology. The key improvement of this version isto replace the manage system of ‘fixed voltage’ by ‘INOV’( IntelligentNegotiation for Optimum Voltage ). The started input voltage can be 3.6V. Theunit can be 0.2V(200Mv）. Adjust it based on real time batter temperature, transformationefficiency, capacity and so on. It can increase or decrease gradually withinthe voltage range allowed( 9V or 12V ).Atpresent, QC2.0、QC3.0 have been adopted by many manufacturers like Samsung, Mi,Motorola, Google, Soni, etc. The technology can be applied to many productsincluding mobile phone, charger, power bank, car charger and even drone. Now ithas its own eco chain already.
When carrying out QC2.0test, IT-E255 A/M can simulate four different output voltage(5V、9V、12V、20V) and the maximum power is 18W. Whencarrying out QC3.0 test, the controller can do load test from 3.6V to 20V with0.2V step increase.
